The dwarf kingdom part one

Tales Upon Tales series       MELISSA´S ARCHWAY 1.     The Dwarf Kingdom. Part one. It is morning! I have waited for this day for a long time and I am finally twenty years old. Now I can leave the village and explore the outside world. I get up from the bed and go downstairs to get breakfast, I see my parents Elina and Gabin and my big sister Amber and big brother Arthur are already at the table eating breakfast. “Good morning!” I say cheerfully. “Gu mornin.” Dad says with a deep voice. “Morning.” Brother says and looks away. “Good morning.” Says my sister with a faint smile. “Good morning dear did you sleep well?” Mother says normally. “Yes of course I did.” I say with a smile. Actually, I was barely able to sleep because I was so excited to start my journey, but I can’t tell them that. They would just lecture me about the importance of sleep during a dangerous journey and how there would be a lot of ex...

Epilogue

Epilogue. I feel myself fading away quickly, every part of me is disappearing, emptiness. Suddenly everything turns bright, so bright that I am blinded by it, it feels so warm. I feel relaxed in the warm brightness as it pulls me upwards. The brightness is getting brighter and feel extremely happy. I see a shape in the brightness and I am getting closer to it, soon I am close enough to see that it is a human shape, but I can’t make out what it looks like. The shape starts talking and I can’t make out the gender from the voice. “There is a great threat coming to this world and you and the others are needed to fight against it, I do not have the power revive you or anyone else anymore so do not die.” I try to answer but I cannot feel my mouth, I then start dropping away from the shape at a quick pace and quickly. It gets colder and colder and darker and darker. The movement stops and my conscious starts to fade again as I see a green light enveloping me in a...

#15

#15 We finally managed to kill the giant creature. It turned out that it was a giant turtle like creature. Our first attack on it did nothing to it. Not only was its shell really hard, even its legs which are supposed to be the weak point were tough. We kept attacking one of its legs after our ambush, but it felt like cutting a tree with a rusty axe. Sure, we left some marks and scratches, but we couldn’t even make it bleed. I tried using fire magic on its leg, but it didn’t seem effective. Then the skeleton used his new magic. Something black condensed on skeletons arms and when he cut with it, he actually got through. There was blood. Then the turtle got mad. Skeleton almost got squashed under the turtles’ foot. We all retreated for a moment to ponder what we should do. The turtle didn’t follow us. It wasn’t truly angry about getting wounded. Probably just annoyed. It kept calmly walking toward the elven forest after we left it alone. The elf that was with u...
