#7   They are actually talking. I am so surprised. Rann is usually so stubborn so I wouldn’t have imagined her to change so quickly. Maybe making a mistake made her realize that she was wrong. 13. Morning The black kid has woken up already; I didn’t even notice it. He didn’t get up even though he woke up; he must be waiting until everyone else wakes up as well. The fox girl on top of me opens her eyes slowly. We look at each other for a while until the fox girl panics and gets up; I can see a lot more now. #6 I couldn’t sleep longer. Rann said that she doesn’t trust her either. It apparently doesn’t matter that she isn’t a skeleton or anything like that. I do get that she is cautious and even if I saved her, she could still turn her back against us, but I want to sleep. I am sure that if she tried to do something I would wake up before anything serious could happen. Well all I can do is wait until they trust each other. When that happens, I am not going to keep watch during the night anymore. I will let them handle it. The black leopard girls name is Tefa. She replies to any question we ask her but other than that she doesn’t speak. When we eat, she keeps a lookout. I tried to tell her that we don’t need anyone to keep a lookout and she should eat with us, but she refused and said that this is her duty. Magical warfare Left, right, left, right. The sun has gone down ages ago, but we are still walking. Luckily the armor we wear is lightweight so its easier on us than it is for the ones that have heavy armor. Even if the real soldiers with heavy armor are trained and strong, we are all just cannon fodder in this war. At least with the leather armor we can move easier to our deaths. There are so many of us and most of us were normal farmers before they made us fight in this war, so it was lucky that I even got a sword to fight with. Even shopkeepers and nobles had to join the army, only the highest nobles and the most important people avoided it.   The ones that couldn’t afford their own weapons were given a weapon but if you were weak or unskilled in using one then you could only get a farming tool to fight with. 16. Things that are. Everything hurts, my feet especially. I open my eyes and all I can see is darkness. I can feel that I am moving but how? There is something under me. I move my hand to feel what it is. It feels hairy and hard.   I don’t try to move my legs since the pain I am feeling without moving them is immense. I try to push my self up using both of my hands, I ignore the pain from my right hand but there is something that is keeping me down. I touch the place that kept me down and I feel that there is something wrapped around my chest. It feels sticky. There is a lot of it around my chest. I take a hold of it and try to tear it off, but it is tough, and it doesn’t budge. I have a dagger, I need to try to cut it with it. It is behind my back. I can’t get my hand there. Hello again. I have been pretty well. I have had some changes in my life.  I chose to focus on writing more than school. Which means that I will not graduate at a normal time if at all. I mostly went to school because I was worried about money for rent and food and stuff like that and even though I am still worried about them the worry is not as big as it was before. I can pretty much live the way I do now without working. I need to go to school a little bit in order to get some breathing room with money but other than that I dont need to worry about future anymore.  Some might say that its important to finish school and things like that but I dont want to work and money isn't that important for me either.  Of course I would be happy if I could make a living from writing since then I could drop out of school completely and hire an editor and all kinds of other things but they are not necessary.  I am pretty content with life at the moment and th...

Night The elf walks up to me with a worried look on her face. “The bat person left, he didn’t even eat anything before leaving.” I nod lightly. “That might be for the best, it would be torture to live with me as I would remind him of what happened in with his family.” “It is too dangerous for a child to be alone outside. We should have him stay here until he gets stronger, as we did with Sarah.” “He got my blood so he should be fine around here as long as he is careful. 11. Meal I wake up to some yelling sounds and open my eyes. In front of me there is the elf and she is holding the bat person that is trying to struggle free from her hold. 10. Evening. I suppress my heartbeat and the mana flow and walk calmly in the forest while dodging twigs and brushes. The forest is quiet and calming to walk in and as I go deeper in, I start to relax. There are small critters and birds here and there, but I ignore them since eating them wouldn’t give much sustenance and it could scare away bigger pray. I end up near a lake where the lake shines  from the setting sun, the blue water makes the scenery look tranquil. At the edge of the water there are creatures drinking it and laying down on the ground. They have three horns on the back of their head and their fur is brown with green hue. If I remember correctly, they are called loperdeers, where I come from there are similar creatures, but they are different color and they have more horns. They would have also noticed me already since their perception and speed is the reason why they can survive other creatures. I walk toward them and prepare to jump at one ...
